Saltire Infrastructure were engaged as the Head Contractor for Water Corporation’s Regional Water Reticulation Replacement Program. The project encompassed upgrades to water infrastructure across multiple regional towns, including Harvey, Waroona, Capel, Collie, Katanning, Cuballing, Narrogin, Wagin, Kellerberrin, Watheroo, and Dongara.

Key Elements
- Installation of 5,262 meters of new water mains, including pipe laying, trenching, and reinstatement.
- Installation of 1,250 meters of DN250 HDPE butt-welded sewer pressure main.
- Horizontal directional drilling of 448 meters.
- 247 connections and transfers to the existing watermain network.
- Connection to the network via hot-tapping,
- use of S-gate, flow-stopping with bypasses, and conventional isolation methods.

Live Water Mains Inspection
Advanced live inspection technology detects issues in pressurised pipelines—maintaining network integrity without isolations, shutdowns, or service disruption.
Hot Tapping
Saltire Infrastructure utilises high-pressure rated Hot Tapping Equipment for the fast and safe installation of new branch connections and bypass mains, with the current capability to install DN25-DN400 offtakes.
Flow Stopping
Line Stopping allows works to be undertaken on water mains without interruption to customer supply. Deploying a stopper and bypass system, the rig set-up allows for sections of pipelines to be made dry allowing safe repair or replacement of the existing network.
S-Gate Valve
Saltire Infrastructure’s S-gate Valve System is a WSAA-approved live insertion valve system, designed to be used on live under pressure pipelines, providing mechanical isolation on the network to operator’s requirements and a future asset on the pipeline network to be used time and time again.
