Project Overview

Saltire were engaged by ALUA to manage the water service relocation works from Queens Park to Beckenham Station. Scope included input to concept drawings all the way through to installation/commissioning and staged asset handover to Water Corporation. From the initial concept phase, Saltire applied advanced methodologies to address design and constructability challenges, ensuring precise planning and execution.

Key Elements

  • Excavation and removal/grouting of old and redundant pipelines.
  • Installation of 1.4 Kilometres of MSCL pipeline ranging in diameter from DN100 to DN1219.
  • Installation of scour valves, butterfly section valves, air valves, all valve risers & furniture across the entire pipe network within the scope.
  • Hydrostatic pressure testing, chlorination and disinfection of new water mains.
  • Installation and commissioning of voltage mitigation and cathodic protection.
  • Tie-in to existing water infrastructure network and energisation of new pipework.
  • Restoration of pavements including roads, footpaths and verges.
